It was the biggest Brownie LITTLE GIG you ever did see

On a dull Saturday morning Godalming came alive to over 650 members from Girlguiding Surrey West celebrating Performing Arts.

Nearly 500 girls spent the morning and afternoon trying an amazing selection of activities including Samba Dancing, Samba band, Circus skills, balloon modelling, silent disco, face painting, Didgeridoos, Street Dance, Scottish Country Dancing, Morris Dancing, Uke playing and jumping on trampolines.

They started with a Disco, had a magic show at lunchtime along with have a blow of Godalming Bands’ brass instruments and finished with a Gig of 4 local bands and the Samba band. However the thing that stands out to me was when each of the groups stood up and sang the song and actions they had learnt during the day. It brought a tear to my eye to see the girls do so well.

An amazing whirlwind of an event and the organising committee are very grateful for all the providers and leaders in Surrey West who made this event such fun.
