Safe Space Level 3 - GUILDFORD division

A SAFE SPACE, LEVEL 3 – RECOGNISING, TELLING AND TAKING ACTION

For anyone leading a team of adults, at least one leader per unit (leader, assistant leader, leader in training), mentors, advisers, coordinators (except GO coordinators), licence holders on residentials, trainers, tutors and those doing level 4.

At least one leaders in each unit MUST HAVE completed this level 3 training.

This training event is initially only open to volunteers from Guildford division, however leaders from other areas can sign up now to the waiting list for this event should additional places become available.

You’ll learn about

  • What to do if someone tells you about a concern, allegation or disclosure

  • How to recognise there is a concern

  • How you can support and help someone tell their story safely

  • How to take action and with whom

  • Where to get help

Location: Guildford Scout and Guide HQ, Nightingale Road, Guildford, GU1 1ER

Timings : 10am until 1:30pm

Please bring a mug for hot drinks.

Please wear uniform for this training.

Some notes on elements to be completed BEFORE attending the Safe Space Level 3 training

Prior to attending this training, you will need to have completed Safe Space Levels 1 & 2, and also completed the Safe Space Level 3 e-learning.

Safe Space 1 & 2 - These can be completed online.

At the end of each e-learning make sure you complete the survey and enter your Girlguiding membership number so that the training is recorded on your training record.

Safe Space Level 3 e-learning

Prior to attending the Safe Space Level 3 training, please complete the e-learning;
