County Day is our way to connect volunteers across the county from all divisions, districts and units.
Every one is welcome to come and just socialise, but If you want to learn some new skills, we have organised a varied programme of sessions which are bookable online when you register – everything from Tomahawks, pioneering and glass making to singing and social media. There are also dedicated sessions for Trefoil Guild and Young Leaders.
As usual there will be refreshments available and a lunchtime ‘marketplace’ to find out what is happening around the county.In light of feedback received, all three sessions will offer a mixture of Girlguiding training and personal development workshops. There will be opportunities for networking, skill sharing and take away opportunities for your units.
Please wear uniform/Guiding wear, bring packed lunch, re-usable mug/water bottle and cash/card for the shops.
In the morning you can select options for TWO sessions.
Over lunch time we will have a ‘Marketplace’ set up with a whole host of different stalls on offer for you to peruse, these will include;
* International Guiding
* Outdoor adventure opportunities
* Campsites displays and information
* Badge shop
* Guildford Guide shop
Then in the afternoon there is ONE session, where you again, can choose a personal development workshop or Guiding training.
You can attend for one session, all three or just come along for the social opportunity.
There is no formal close to the day, please just check out with the registration desk when you leave.
