We have been invited to bring 2 teams (one of Guides and one of Rangers) to a first aid competition alongside Scouts and the cadet organisations on Saturday 20th October in Guildford.
The teams will be asked to respond to a mocked up multi-causality incident as a team and then again in a pairs challenge. Teams will be marked on their responses to the incidents and their first aid knowledge, there will be prizes and refreshments on the day.
We are looking for volunteers who might be interested in getting involved in this event. Ideally we would love to find a volunteer who has good first aid knowledge and/or real life medical experiences so that you are able to provide the teams with some training/team building before the day. If we have a volunteer like this amongst us then it would work well if they would like to enter teams from their own unit.
Alternatively if you know of a Guide (need to be aged 12+) or Ranger who has a keen interest in first aid/is already skilled in this topic then please get in touch.
