The RSPB wants to create stronger connections between people and nature, including giving experiences to children that engage and inspire them to take action for nature. This training aims to build the confidence of leaders and other volunteers to take girls outdoors to discover, explore, enjoy and help nature.
The intention is that, as a result of completing the training, volunteers will go on to deliver an increased number of activities in and for nature in their programmes.
The training will introduce a range of activities that enhance the ‘have adventure’ and take action’ elements of the Girlguiding programme and which are appropriate for the different sections.
There will two sessions on the day, 9.00am to 12.15pm and 1.15pm to 4.30pm
